The Dark Knight Rises Trailer

So after watching the official trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, does Christopher Nolan’s epic final Batman film appeal to more than just fanboys?
Warning SPOILERS AHEAD!
We see the trailer begin with a boy belting out the national anthem at a football game.  “The Star Spangled Banner” plays and we hear dialogue about ousting current the current Commissioner, Commissioner Gordon (played by the amazing Gary Oldman). He is after all a war hero. We are also able to get a glimpse of Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle, better known as Catwoman. In this scene we see her whispering a line into the ear of ass kicking playboy Bruce Wayne seemingly trying to tell us that she’s well aware of how unhappy some people are in Gotham City. “You think this is going to last. There’s a storm coming, Mr. Wayne. You and your friends better batten down the hatches because when it hits, you’re all going to wonder how you ever thought how you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.” As we hear this line, enter BANE. Speaking of badass, could they have picked anyone better to play Bane than they did in picking Thomas Hardy. Plenty of shots of Bane and his goons in the trailer, which are very exciting.“When Gotham is in ashes you have my permission to die.”
Of course there are explosions, car chases, a jailbreak and bullets shown as well. The trailer was slightly disappointing for me, but I'm still incredibly excited. What also excites me is more of Michael Caines, Alfred. “You are as precious to me as you were to your mother and father. I swore to them that I would protect you — and I haven’t.” What the trailer does most effectively is inspiring questions that have yet to be answered, and an amazing mood and atmosphere, despite the lack of Batman. I think it's safe to say everyone who enjoys film will enjoy this one.

Check it out.
